On September 14th, Hurricane Florence made landfall just south of Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. It was the wettest hurricane on record to have ever impacted the Carolina's.
Due to it's laggard pace, the storm devastated the state with days of wind and rain which ultimately resulted in coastal storm surge, river cresting, and as a result, unprecedented flooding.
In her wake, Hurricane Florence left our storefront in Little Washington, North Carolina submerged beneath 25 inches of flood water. We count ourselves incredibly blessed to share that while we saved the larger majority of our shop inventory, we lost most of our furniture and will regrettably have to close our doors until the necessary renovations and repairs can be completed.
"Two steps forward and one step back" is still a step in the right direction. We have a tremendous amount of work ahead of us and for a novice business, this was an overwhelming and unwelcome setback, but we are not giving up! We believe in the strength and determination that small businesses maintain. It is our family, our friends, and our community that has encouraged us and pushed us to move forward.
♥ We are offering a variety of print and necklace options as a part of our effort to raise funding to repair our little shop. We are excited to get back to work and will be focusing our time and energy on our online presence until we can get back into our storefront.
